Sixty Drawings - Bankley Art Studios
Bankley studios are running an exhibition of Sixty Drawings from 2nd June—8th June. ‘60 Artists have been asked to submit one drawing in an exhibition that lays bare the tradition of drawing in individual contemporary practices. With the democracy of open submission, '60 Drawings' is curated by Carolyn Curtis Magri and Gary James Williams and intends to explore, define and celebrate the locality and discipline of drawing in its diverse forms within the practices of participating artists.’

‘The studios currently have over 30 Artists in residence working across a range of disciplines including painting, textiles, photography, installation, sculpture and ceramics. The studios are located in Levenshulme, Manchester and were set up in 1992, officially becoming a co-operative in 1998. ’‘In addition to the studio spaces there is also an artist run gallery space, which is curated by our Exhibition Officer.’
