After a slower summer shaped by higher mortgage rates and political uncertainty, more buyers are dusting off their search bars as the season turns.
Home searches are now running 7% higher than a year ago, the strongest annual increase in 12 months, an early signal that buyers are re-engaging as we enter autumn.
For the first time since August 2025, searches are running above last year’s levels in every region and country of the UK, from a leading +8.9% in the South East and +8.5% in the East of England to +0.7% in the North West.
