With mortgage rates on the rise and the Autumn Budget in focus, some sellers are taking a step back, but the market is far from standing still.
Nearly half of respondents (46%) say the rate of withdrawals has held steady or fallen over the last three months, according to the latest PriceHubble poll of subscribers, while 54% have seen an increase.
Sales agreed are down 8% on a year ago, though that is broadly similar to the trend all year, with deals still going through and activity holding firm.
For sellers who stay the course, buyers are still out there, and pricing right from day one pays off: homes listed at one price found a buyer in 39 days on average, compared with 119 days for those that needed a cut.
