About Edgeley
Edgeley is home to its own shopping precinct situated on Castle Street where you can get most of your daily needs from places such as a supermarket, post office, banks, charity shops and cafés. There are also several parks situated in Edgeley, the most well-known would be Alexandra Park situated next to the primary school, which is the site of where Edgeley House once stood. Other parks include Edgeley Park, situated across Dale Street from Alexandra Park and where Stockport County play their home games.

Wycliffe Hotel
The Wycliffe hotel is situated on the corner on St Lesmo Road and Edgeley Road and is a great place to go for family meals, Sunday lunch or Afternoon tea. The food is always of good standard and the service is always 100%.
Edgeley Station
Edgeley is served by Stockport railway station. It was opened on 15 February 1843 by the Manchester and Birmingham Railway, following completion of the large railway viaduct just to its north. It is used as one of Virgin’s main stops on the west coast mainline meaning you can get directly to London within 2 hours from the station.

Schools
There are multiple primary schools situated in Edgeley such as Alexandra Park School, Our Lady’s Catholic School and the main secondary school in the area is Stockport Academy (Formerly Avondale High School).
