Landlords take steps to meet EPS requirements

Dewi Dewi Jones Nov 22, 2024, 14:00 PM

Over two thirds (67%) of landlords currently own at least one property that does not meet the new requirements for the government’s proposed EPC ‘C’ targets.

The government has confirmed that all homes in the private rented sector will have to achieve Energy Performance Certificate 'C' or equivalent by 2030.

Awareness among landlords is high, with 92% having at least some knowledge of the requirements. However, only 67% report a thorough understanding of the details.

42% of landlords plan to make the necessary improvements to bring their properties up to EPC standards. Source: Dataloft by PriceHubble, Foundation Home Loans for Q3 2024
