Post Office re-opens in Levenshulme. But don't bring your letters!

David Boyd Jul 20, 2010, 14:40 PM

The Post Office has reopened in Levenshulme!  But you are more likely to see a sandwich than a stamp if you visit!  The POD (Post Office Deli) has reopened the pretty Post Office on Albert Road offering what has long been missing in Levenshulme.

You'll find lots of local organic produce and daily specials prepared fresh at the POD.  I tried the POD BLT - the bacon was crisp, the cheese melted and all served on a chiabatta.  It was superb (and the little details like warmed bread) and fresh ingredients make the difference.

Other menu options such as the meat-eaters breakfast, and brie with green apple and mango chutney wrap are on my hit list!  I'll certainly be visiting again.
