Edgeley is served by Stockport railway station. It was opened on 15 February 1843 by the Manchester and Birmingham Railway, following completion of the large railway viaduct just to its north. It is used as one of Virgin’s main stops on the west coast mainline meaning you can get directly to London within 2 hours from the station.
