Homes taking just over a month to sell

Dewi Dewi Jones May 15, 2025, 10:30 AM

Homes took an average of 36 days to sell in April, quicker than earlier in the year. In the first 3 months of the year, homes took an average 38 days to agree a sale.

The second quarter is typically the strongest period for sales activity, with homes selling on average 5 days faster than in Q1 and 10 days quicker than in Q4.

April saw the fastest sales in the North East, where homes sold 12 days quicker than the national average, and in the West Midlands, where selling times were 4 days faster than average. London recorded the slowest selling time in April at 41 days, but this still an improvement on the first quarter, when sales averaged 44 days.
